The East Africa Satsang Mandal was founded some 75 years ago, though the first Swaminarayan Temple was built in Nairobi some 55 years ago. This institution was established to cater for the disciples in Kenya, Uganda and Tanganyika (now called Tanzania). This Swaminarayan Temple under the banner of The East Africa Satsang Mandal was the first ever Swaminarayan temple in the world outside India. Bal Yuvak Mandal of youthful boys undertake and carry out very important activities in the temple. This wing of the temple has become indespensible branch. The youths undertake all the work of the temple i.e. decoration of the temple for every functions and occasions and they involved themselves in different types of activities.
